Family photos can feel overwhelming, so I make it easy. Every client receives a full prep and style guide, plus a simple questionnaire that helps me handle the details so you can relax, show up, and enjoy the moment. I carefully select locations that fit your family's needs and fits the vibe. I gently guide your family into fun moments where you are playful and interactive, this often makes for the best smiles and big belly laughs. Imagine holding your child upside down, placing them on your shoulders for a walk or even incorporating a family activity. But don't worry, I will also capture your standard 'Look at the camera and say cheese" moments too, because who doesn't love a good family pose. All of these things and more will be discussed during the planning process so that we are confident your session will feel like hanging out with your friends. Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I schedule my photo session?
A. As soon as you know you are interested in one! Seriously, the sooner the better as my schedule tends to book up quickly especially May-November.
What happens after I fill out the Contact form on your website?
A. I typically respond to all inquiries that come through within 24 hours and send a complete pricing guide over to you in addition to what you see on my investment tab. I will include available dates that I have open for the timeframe you inquired about and if you decide to move forward and book with me I will then send an invoice and contract over to be signed and paid within 48 hours. The retainer payment is a non-refundable $100 that goes toward your session balance and will hold your date on my calendar.
How do I schedule a newborn session with you if I do not know when my child will arrive?
A. Once you inquire and decide to book me in as your Photographer, I will ask for your due date and use that as a date holder on my calendar. I ask clients to notify me as soon as they arrive home from the hospital so that I know baby is born and then we pick a mutually agreed upon date
Do I need to bring anything with me to our session?
A. No! Unless there is something sentimental or an heirloom you would like incorporated. For Newborn sessions more specifically, I have a large selection of wraps, bonnets and tie backs as well as props to choose from based on your vision.
Do you photograph events such as birthdays, communions and showers?
A. I do not photograph events , but I do love being invited to them :)
What if there is poor weather and we need to reschedule? What if my child or someone in my family is sick?
A. I monitor the forecast very closely for 10 days prior to your outdoor session. If I feel at all that the weather will be rain, snow, heavy winds or too hot/too cold, I will contact you with ample time to discuss a reschedule. As my calendar books up quickly, we may need to get creative in finding another date/time in order to accommodate a reschedule, but we will absolutely make it happen. There is no rescheduling fee for weather/illness, however if you need to cancel your session completely your non-refundable retainer is forfeited.
What is the turnaround time for my images after my session?
A. My current turnaround time is 3 weeks from your session date to be delivered a final gallery based on your chosen images. I send a soft proof gallery to you within 1 week for you to make your selections and then I will edit those selections to be delivered by week 3. Turnaround time during the Fall season may extend to 4 weeks,.

Hi, hello and hey! I'm Ashley, your local Long Island Photographer specializing in families, maternity/motherhood and newborn portraits. As a mom of two in a two mom household, I know how important it is to feel accepted, valued and comfortable in your everyday life. Seeing myself and my family unit structure present in the world around me is so important and I know how valuable it is to savor those special moments and feelings. So often days go by and we have forgotten to appreciate our growing bumps, our messy home and the beautiful sounds of chaos singing. All of these things make up the beauty of our everyday love and without them it would be hard to truly appreciate what life is truly like. I am also an infertility warrior, and Autism parent and going through a Thyroid cancer recurrence. I know the feeling of defeat and heartache and that has only continued to fuel my passion and advocacy over the years. EVERY MOMENT is special, you don't need a big event to celebrate your family because simply existing as you are is worthy enough.
Your comfortability in front of the camera is most important to me and that is why I strive to make your role in this experience as easy and stress free as possible. Upon booking with me, I collect some basic information to get to know you and your family a bit better and then I use that questionnaire to help curate a photography experience just for you. I offer beautiful locations in both Nassau and Suffolk County of Long Island based on your vision as well as send you a personalized style inspiration board to help you look and feel your best without getting overwhelmed with outfit selection.
